I am going to make two assumptions:
This world can get overwhelming. We are living in a time of global pandemic, economic upheaval, political tensions, and natural disasters. The news is dire, our social media feeds menacing, and rumors of the end of the world are running rampant. Amusement parks are closed but our mental states ride the roller coaster of emotions every day. I read recently in an article: “One in four young adults in the United States said they considered suicide over the last month”.
We all need to be encouraged. Inspired. Supported. Boosted up. Cheered on. Emboldened. To have courage put in us.
1. Let God encourage you…
Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go. Joshua 1:9
Where do you need to rest in God’s encouragement today? Where do you need God to “put courage in you?” Be still and know that God is for you and with you!
2. Encourage someone else…
Therefore encourage one another and build one another up… 1 Thessalonians 5:11
Where do you need to put courage in someone else? How can you pass that along to someone with an encouraging word or action? Don’t wait! Do it now!
Be encouraged. Encourage someone else.
