Let’s pray together! It’s an incredibly powerful experience when an entire church prays together in agreement asking for God’s favor and breakthrough for change. Each Wednesday during this season of Lent, I’ll share a prayer with us and ask that you join in praying it with me. Our first task is to pray for wisdom.
If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who give generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him. –James 1:5
A Prayer for Wisdom
God, thank you for the promise of your wisdom. Our thoughts, ideas, and creativity have little to no eternal value without you. We ask that you give your wisdom to us generously. We pray for the courage to act upon that wisdom. May it help us in making good decisions. Grant us the wisdom to more fully understand your will and purpose for our lives and the church. We seek your wisdom and guidance to live and lead in a way that brings glory and honor to you. Amen!
