June 6-13, 2020, Aldersgate is joining with our Mission Partners in San Jose, Costa Rica.

Our team will help complete the construction of the parsonage for a Methodist church in El Tigre, Costa Rica. We will also be conducting a VBS in the afternoons. We will stay at a hotel in a nearby town and will get to and from our worksite by van.

This trip will require a passport. Team members should be up to date on their Tetanus vaccine, and get a general Hepatitus vaccine. This trip is best for youth and adults 15yrs and up. The cost is approximately $1,500.

  • Application must be submitted in full.
  • Upon approval, a $100 deposit is due.
  • Participants are asked to follow the guidelines outlined in the team covenant.
  • Mission trips can be rewarding and life-‐changing; however, they can also be stressful. Please consider factors in your personal life at this time that may distract and prohibit you from fully committing to the mission of the trip and adapting to unusual conditions.
  • Once accepted, team members are expected to attend all team meetings.
  • All costs are the team member’s responsibility and due 30 days prior to departure.
  • If you are unable to participate in your trip for any reason, Ginger Barbee must receive cancellation notice as soon as possible. You may be responsible for all trip costs.
  • Some work/activities may be prohibitive for certain physical conditions. Please let Ginger Barbee know of any physical limitations.
  • Team members assume the responsibility and liability for their personal health decisions.
  • Additional information regarding the price and dates for each mission trip is available from Ginger Barbee. Team meetings are designed to inform and prepare you for the mission.

Step 1: Review the trip dates and begin praying about this trip.

Step 2: Complete the Mission Trip Application Form online.

Step 3: Once your application has been received, the team leaders will review it. Then you will be contacted regarding your acceptance to the team.

Step 4: Upon notification of acceptance, submit the following:

  1. A $100 non-refundable deposit. (Make checks payable to “Aldersgate Missions”. If deposit is not turned in by deadline your placement on team will not be guaranteed.)
  2. Emergency Contact Information Form
  3. Medical Information Form
  4. Liability Waiver & Release Form

Step 5: You can then start fundraising for your trip through people that you know. We can provide you with a letter template and process that you can give to other to help with funding your trip. All donations are a tax-deductible gift to the extent allowed by law.
